Rose Cottage exceeded all expectations. the former Roman fort setting added a unique touch to the stay, making it a truly memorable experience. the cottage itself was equipped with everything one could possibly need, from a washing machine to a wide selection of DVDs and books. the courtyard garden provided a peaceful retreat, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea on a quiet afternoon. Despite being miles away from civilization, the free parking and Wi-Fi made it convenient to stay connected. The lack of ironing facilities and heating was a slight downside, especially on cooler evenings. However, the overall value for the price paid was exceptional. the no smoking and no pets policy ensured a clean and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique getaway.
